Played this 3 times due to recording errors and found new things each playthrough. A super fun game!

(+1)

A wonderful and well made sci-fi thriller game!
What could've been done well, it was!
5/5 star!

(+1)

terminal curiosity

(+2)

Love the atmosphere.  Neat little touch of objects having collision and sound when they hit the ship or the player.

Only negative I can think of would be ending hunting and having to walk the entire "hallway area" again.

Nonetheless, a really cool game.

(+3)

muy buen juego

(+4)(-1)

The sound design in this is so damn good that I was scared and tense without needing any jumpscares or spooky things to happen, the noises alone were enough and that is the mark of a truly good horror game. Seriously, well done. Also having the gameplay revolve around typing commands on different terminals is really cool and quite unique, I've seen other games use terminals like this but not as the main mechanic of the game. Overall, really solid horror experience, great job devs!

Heey thanks for the audio mention!! <3 I actually laughed so hard when you yeeted the "fork guy" into the grinders. Great playthrough.

i'm with crashing issue, i played normally yesterday but i was late to go to college, so i let for play today, but for some reason, the game simply crash on intro, I really liked that what i played yesterday and i want to finish, but i can't because that crashing issue, can somebody help me?

How's it crashing exactly? Do you get any crash reports etc? Also it might be helpful if you provide me your system specs and operating system. Thanks for reaching out!

The intro freeze, the sound continue until the end of intro, them over and that is it, so i try to click or press any key them close it self

I use windows 10 and my PC is not too good at all, is a Ryzen 5 4600g with 16gb ram and a gt1030 as a videocard (yeah, i know, is a shit of videocard, but its all i can got), sorry if sound confusing, english is not my first language, i hope i can help you to identify the problem, thank for trying to help me

If you haven’t already, please try extracting the game files to a dedicated folder on your desktop (or another convenient location) before running the .exe file. Sometimes, running the game directly from the zip file or a temporary location can cause loading issues like the one you’re describing. Extracting the game files fully can help ensure everything loads properly.

Just a heads up, Solitude was built in Unity’s High Definition Render Pipeline (HDRP), which can be a bit demanding on hardware. Given your setup, you might encounter some performance issues, but here are a few things you can try to improve stability:

  1. Restart the Game: Restarting has worked for a few other players who ran into similar issues. Sometimes, if the game didn’t load properly the first time, it might work on the second attempt.
  2. Run as Administrator: Right-click on the .exe file and select “Run as Administrator.” This can sometimes help if the game needs extra permissions to access certain files.
  3. Lower Graphics Settings: If the game has a settings file, try lowering the graphics settings to the lowest quality available before starting. HDRP can be resource-intensive, so this can help your system handle the game more smoothly.
  4. Update Graphics Drivers: Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date. Even with your current hardware, updated drivers can sometimes resolve unexpected issues.
  5. Disable Background Applications: Close any unnecessary programs running in the background, especially memory or CPU-intensive ones, to free up resources for the game.

If you’re still experiencing issues after trying these steps, please feel free to reach out again, and I’ll do my best to help. Thanks for taking the time to report this, and I hope these steps help you get the game running smoothly!

Finished the game yesterday, i like it. It has a good atmosphere of desolation and a lot of questions about the fate of the former occupants of the ship. Hope to see more chapters.

Thanks for leaving a comment!

(+3)

Just finished the game, it was really good. A short and thrilling ride i must say. Looking forward to playing more games by this developer.

I'm glad you liked the game, rate and follow for future games ;)

(+2)

Terrifying horror space game with eerie atmosphere and good computer puzzles. I give the rating: 4 out 5 stars

(+2)

This was a very  fun experience. I really liked the atmosphere in this game along with the creepy noises that you couldn't distinguish whether it was part of the music or in the ship. I did find a bug where if you crouched at the pathway to the reactor it would just make you unable to stand up again until you went all the way to the end as if you were in a vent (You can see this near the end of the video). Other than that cool game.

Hey, thank you so much for playing, amazing feedback and the bug report. I fixed it!

(+3)

I want more! Only a sprint would be nice.

(+1)

There will be more! The game initially included sprinting, but I decided to disable it. I felt that a slower pace suited the aesthetic I was aiming for, encouraging players to move thoughtfully and take in the atmosphere.

(+4)

The password to the bridge has a misspelling. I am going to write it backwards for people who struggle.

actual: ohcE3niviD

written in game: ohcE3niyiD

Also, last two scratches at the end that look like either "!" or ":" are nothing and just random.

(+3)

Hey, thanks for the feedback! I've updated the password to something else and made sure it’s clear and easy to understand. Appreciate your help!

(+3)

Amazing and original game, i loved it!

(+4)(-2)

Nice game man W

There's an issue where the game isn't fullscreen and is for some reason vertical? i was wondering if anyone experienced the same issue and was able to fix it?

Hey! We tested the game on a range of setups and haven’t encountered this issue, so it might be a unique case. Could you try pressing Alt + Enter to force fullscreen? That often does the trick for similar display issues. Let us know if that helps, and we’ll keep looking into it if needed!

(+3)

The game has a very interesting horror atmosphere and the gameplay is the highlight. ALL ENDINGS HERE:

(+3)

I was wildly impressed with the overall atmosphere of the game. The only thing that made no sense was how to open a file. I only figured it out at the end when the game showed me. It is kind of lacking in the tutorial department, but overall, the game was amazing, with no bugs to speak of.

Thank you so much for the feedback! I'm thrilled that you enjoyed the atmosphere and smooth gameplay! As for the file-opening instructions, those actually appear in the very first log entry on the engineer's terminal at the start of the game. I’ll consider making that clearer in future updates to ensure no one misses it. Really appreciate your insights!

(+3)

Okay that was fun. Though I wish there was an alternate ending where if you didn't do the thing and not grabbed the thing.

(1 edit) (+2)

Are you asking about after starting the self-destruct sequence? You actually have the option to leave without the thing. There are two endings: one where you take the thing with you and another where you leave it behind.

(+3)

OH MY GOD, I'M TRAPPED IN SPACE AND I HAVE NO CLUE WHERE I'M GOING!! THIS IS SUPER COOL BUT ALSO SUPER CREEPY!! Youtube Link -

Amazing stuff! I love the video!!!

(+3)

The game has a really interesting atmosphere. The gameplay, based on computer prompts, is also quite enjoyable and challenging. ALL ENDINGS HERE:

Thank you for the playthrough! Great stuff!

(+3)

Very cool little puzzle game. Awesome visuals and atmosphere!

(+1)

Thanks!!!

(+3)

I absolutely LOVED the game. The interaction with the terminal (feeling like a hacker), the suspense and storybuilding via logs. Phenomenal and hope to play more like this in a long-format game! ❀

German Playthrough:

(+1)

Amazing playthrough, top quality! Thank you so much!

(+1)

Right yeah, just installed it but I'm having a problem. When I start it up, the prologue runs fine but when it gets past that, It's just a black screen. I can hear everything and even the Player Terminal but nada. It's may be cause I'm running it on a lower end PC but I don't know what to do.

(+1)

Hey, that’s a bummer 😭. What are your system specs and operating system? Maybe I can figure out what is wrong.

We tested the build on various systems and some had  black screen issues which went away when you reopened the game. I guess that’s not the case for you :(

(+2)

Is this good enough? Got an old PC.

(+1)

It appears that, unfortunately, you won’t be able to play the game on this system. The game requires higher specifications due to being built with Unity’s High Definition Render Pipeline (HDRP), which demands more powerful hardware, including a modern dedicated graphics card, a more recent multi-core CPU, and ideally at least 16GB of RAM. This PC’s specs, particularly the Intel G45/G43 integrated graphics and the older Core 2 Quad processor, don’t meet the minimum requirements needed for HDRP performance. 😭💔

(+2)

Dang, I'm cooked. Game looks really cool though. Maybe once I get my better computer repaired someday, I'll try this out again.

(+1)

I hope you’ll be able to play it soon! Can’t wait to hear your feedback on the game and thank you so much!

(+3)

A W E S O M E

You are!

(+3)

Great experience! I absolutely love the puzzles and the menu. Keep up the good work!

Thank you so much!!!

(+3)

Pretty aight.

(+3)

Enjoyed the game, looking forward to more of this game.

(+3)

Game was really fun to play!

Wow that was very entertaining to watch! Thanks for playing the game!!

Of course! Thank you for making such a great game!

(+4)

this game was difficult but good..

(+1)

Thanks for playing and for the amazing video!

(+3)

Very different from other titles in a good way. Progression is consistent and it doesnt make you feel lost. Level design is simple. It leads players to the next place they should go without making it too obvious. Sound design is amazing and feels polished. Environment and details drives you into the game. Page design is also very good. Overall i can see the future of this game with further development.

Thank you so much for your review!!!

Hi! Very interesting project!
Is there a way to reach out to you?

(+3)

I didn't expect to play such a polished game! Game mechanics, sound design, and level design are thought out and worked on. The sounds help to immerse the player in the atmosphere in a quite uncomfortably intriguing way. It's full of personality with a mystery sci-fi atmosphere that draws you in.

Thanks!!!

(2 edits) (+3)(-1)

Pretty much the only thing that detracts from the amazing atmosphere are the goofy horror movies you can play/posters. They don't really mesh too well with the Dead Space-y aesthetic.

Thanks for playing!!!

(+3)

An out-of-the-box experience that truly stands out! The developers' meticulous attention to detail creates an immersive atmosphere that draws you in instantly. Balancing suspense and mystery, the story unfolds effortlessly. The sound design is insane, enhancing the natural immersion and making the gameplay even more engaging. I eagerly anticipate future titles from this promising team.

(+3)

The feel and the atmosphere of the game is so complete. It feels intense and uncomfortable, exactly what you want from a space horror. I would actually like to see how the story unfolds following the events...

(+3)

Solid sci-fi thriller game, loved how the game makes you restart all over again to discover more and more.
