Post Jam Update


Since the GMTK23 has ended I couldn't stop working on this game on my free time! Here's the list of the main improvements that I made.

  • Added hero skills and abilities.
    • Blade Master strikes twice per attack animation.
    • Dark Knight blocks damage by 25% chance and deals double damage on next attack.
    • Barbarian does cleave damage up to 3 targets, does triple damage on single target.
    • Rogue does critical damage by 25% chance and evades all attacks until her next strike.
  • Added a new hero "Blade Master".
  • Added Difficulty system
    • Game keeps track of the hero levels. After a hero survives the run game will compare it to the highest level you got before. If their level is equal or higher than the previous hero level record, the game will set the new level cap as the current hero's level.
    • Max level cap is 666.
  • Added Rating & Review system
    • Heroes will now give your dungeon a rating depending on how much XP they have gained during the run.
    • If rating average goes below 1 star the game is over and all progression is lost.
    • If you manage to get 5 stars review minimum level in the difficulty range will increase by 1.
    • If you get a 0 star review minimum level in the difficulty range will decrease by 1
  • Added damage and status indicators.
  • Added SFX to various characters.
  • Introduced many bugs, some of that I'm aware of, most of them I'm not...

Currently game doesn't offer much rather than the fun combat and clutch moments. I plan to continue working on the game design and make it a full game with an end goal and nice game loop. It's probably gonna be a rogulike or roguelite, well, we'll see where it goes.
